Does anyone have a recipe for monkey bread?
I do not want one with canned bread dough, cinnamon, sugar. Many years ago I had a recipe for monkey bread I got from a cookbook that comes with a bread machine (I think). I remember it was at home, which had bananas, maple syrup (maybe) and fruits dried in it. You let rise / set overnight. They look like sticky buns. I know this is vague, but thanks for your help! If you have a recipe, you can write which also got from (if agreed), thanks! I remember it as a torn bread. For tears that I mean, like sticky buns.
I to do my normal white bread (white bread in Amish Allrecipes.com – I halved the recipe and use half for the monkey bread and make a loaf of bread) Let it rise once. Cut dough into small balls, about 1.5 inches in diameter, roll the pieces in the melted butter, then roll in a mixture of cinnamon and white sugar, throw them out in a Bundt pan, layer raisins if you like. Allow to rise again, then bake for 35 minutes at 350. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan then varnish. For glaze, mix 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon milk (possibly a little more) and a little vanilla extract. Then pour over bread monkey. I used to do this 2x a week, my husband is crazy about her. It's been time well and now I want some! lol
